Tribes 3v3 Beginner Guide: Controls, Loadouts & Match Flow
What is Tribes 3v3?
A competitive 3v3 elimination shooter on Roblox by Snick Co. Two trios fight rounds in compact arenas — the first team to win three rounds takes the match. Eliminated players spectate until the next round. There are no character classes; your power comes from a 12-point loadout.
Controls (PC)
| Action | Key | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Move | W A S D | Strafe while shooting to dodge arrows |
| Combat slide | C | Lowers hitbox, dodges projectile spam; use while moving |
| Camera toggle | V | First-person for precision aiming |
| Shoulder swap | X | Third-person peek angle |
| Loadout menu | B | Open loadout to spend your 12 points |
| Jump | Space | Reposition over cover |
How a match flows
- Loadout phase: spend up to 12 points. Start simple — one ranged weapon, one armor, ammo. You can save up to 5 custom presets (open with B).
- Round start: move as a trio. Never take the first fight alone.
- Middle rounds: hold crossfire angles, slide between cover, focus one target at a time.
- Round wins: first to 3. After winning a round, keep momentum; after losing, regroup before re-engaging.
First-session tips
- Pick the Budget Starter loadout for your first matches.
- Slide (C) when under arrow fire — standing still is death.
- Stay near one teammate; a lone player loses every 1v1 to a duo.
- Call out enemy positions with short messages.
- Win a round? Reload and regroup instead of chasing kills.
- Green ammo crates on the map refill your ammunition mid-round.
- The HUD shows 100 HP plus a blue armor bar — armored targets need extra damage.
- The scoreboard tracks K / D / A / DMG and highlights the MVP; XP comes from elims, round wins and victory — see XP & Shards.
- The game ships with three loadout presets — Allrounder, Archer and Brawler. Allrounder is the community-recommended start; Brawler is generally the weakest.
How to get more weapons
Finish matches to earn victory chests containing Shards. Collect shards in the Collection menu to unlock and upgrade gear — upgrades improve weapon stats over time.
